Chapel Messages
Race Chapel Messages
As Bob & Kathy serve in their position of NASCAR Chaplain to the K & N Pro Series West, they conduct a chapel service at the races. Bob (and sometimes Kathy) give a devotional message of encouragement to the drivers, race team members, NASCAR Officials and others who attend. Here are some of the messages from the 2010 race chapel services.

- “Asking The Right Questions” May 19, 2012
Iowa Speedway - May 19, 2012
I sat totally alone in the huge Frankfurt, Germany train station remembering the train door shutting between Kathy, my girls, the whole outreach team we were leading, and me as the train departed to Amsterdam. What came next was harrowing…
- "Word(s) of Life & God's Involvement" May 5, 2012
Stockton 99 Speedway - May 5, 2012
I want to share a more obscure word to us today but still one that is ever so important and one we should recognize when it is happening to us; however usually we do not. You say: ..."hmmm ...now that sounds mysterious!' That certainly is true. It is mysterious! However, there is a lot to it that we do not understand, yet we should for a number of reasons.
- “Word(s) Of Life” April 28, 2012
Miller Motorsports Park - April 28, 2012
Today it is easy to “look the part.” The world, TV, Hollywood, Government, and the pulpit are full of them, but the next thing you know the story is out and then it’s cover-up, back peddling, and all kinds of things to save their reputation and their little kingdom they have built to promote themselves, their fortunes, and their views on life.
- “Resurrection Day Repercussions” April 14, 2012
Havasu 95 Speedway - April 14, 2012
"After Jesus' resurrection, they left the tombs, entered the holy city, Jerusalem and appeared to many." Because of scriptures like this, I have chosen to take time to look into a few puzzling scriptures in Matthew 27. Let’s take a look together.
- Resurrection Day 2012 April 8, 2012
Happy Resurrection Day 2012
Truly, This day above all holidays and celebrations ought to be honored as the most important day in ALL of human history. It is the very essence of the real meaning of the word FREEDOM! Without the GIFT of this day all of mankind is doomed to failure, disgrace, and destruction.
- "Consider God's Plan... Before YOU Plan" March 3, 2012
Phoenix International Raceway - March 3, 2012
It is easy to think everyone has done their job to the best of their ability. BUT …yes, there’s that big, huge word that often leaves us wondering. Let me tell you about not only human nature’s mistake but also our usual mistake in times like this.
- A Christmas Advent Calendar for you December 1, 2011
Way back when our girls were small I created a special Advent Calendar in which we could daily open up a little surprise door or object to reveal a chapter for the day as we worked our way to Christmas morning. Our family would like to share that with you this year as we work our way through December.
- Veteran's Day & Thanksgiving Day Gratitude November 12, 2011
Phoenix International Raceway - November 12, 2011
I have always found the arrival of Veteran’s Day to be a wonderful prelude to Thanksgiving Day. Both of their very reasons for celebrating are at the very height of worthiness. Certainly in America there is no better reason to be thankful than its freedom, it’s opportunity to excel and reach our highest potential. However, Thanksgiving Day not only celebrates our history but...
- "You Bet Your Life!" October 15, 2011
All American Speedway - October 15, 2011
All of this leads us to a personal choice …or gamble if you choose to call it. However, this gamble is one that you are betting your life upon!
- "What About Bob" - Part 2 September 3, 2011
Spokane County Raceway - September 3, 2011
I have been asked many times how to reach someone when we desire to share about God. The common term for this is “witnessing” and that word seems to freak people out quicker than any track qualifying record! Here it's 18.7 seconds and it doesn't take near that long for people to start getting nervous and fear come out in beads of sweat. Loss of words or stumbling over themselves follows and what was just in your Biblical knowledge has drifted to something akin to a wreck coming to the flag out of turn four. What are we suppose to tell them about God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit? How do we explain something that we ourselves do not understand? And how foolish am I going to look? Omigosh! Let me let you in on a simple secret that eliminates lots of this.
