It is almost too difficult to discern what is YWAM, the local Church, or Salem community when it comes to our local ministry involvement around our home area of Salem, Oregon because of the many things we are participating in. Therefore, be sure to also look at our schedules under the YWAM heading and MROA heading also.
Marriage Seminars:
Marriage is hard because it’s opposed … we are in a love story set in a world at war. These 6 to 8-week classes explore how to have a healthy marriage. Open to singles as well, and childcare is provided.
Class dates: January 27 – March 9, 2020 “Deep Purple” (On average we provide this class twice annually.)
These are great classes for everyone, not just couples because they deal with relationships in today’s world view and American society.

These opportunities arise as you might expect …as couples approach us. While most of the work in this area happens within our YWAM or MRO ministry area, there often comes the local openings to minister in this way.

Evening Discipleship Course:
February 24 – April 6, 2020, and this one will be held at the YWAM Campus, 7085 Battle Creek Road SE
Our local church we attend offers this one night a week for seven week class in conjunction with our Youth With A Mission Campus (YWAM Salem) once and sometimes twice a year. The speakers are those who are in town teaching the Discipleship Training School (DTS) at our campus just down the road from Church On The Hill. Kathy and I staff this course and invite you to a taste of a DTS without the six month full time commitment that a DTS takes. But, this comes with a warning: It makes you hungry for more of God and want to do what Kathy and I have had the privilege to do for over thirty plus years now! Most participants that attend have done multiple of these annual courses! Sign up early for your seat.
