We mainly chose this because of the messages our close friends Bruce and Jason have invested their time and study into during this most intense and lingering bad dream of our lifetime.  They are each extremely relevant to our daily situation here in America and the world.  They are all there if you have missed any of them,  and you can pick out the message subject affecting you personally at any time or what is happening in America daily.  Kathy and I are part of the Eldership along with them and can recommend the messengers and the message in complete confidence to you.

 

Next, I want to make you aware of an “Of Life Importance Event” coming Saturday, September 26, 2020.  This is one event WE ALL need to be part of and we each can do it in our own way whether in huge gatherings in large cities, our churches, or by ourselves for the entire day or off and on as you personally feel led to.

In the Kentucky Cup Race Invocation Stevie & “DW” (Darrell Waltrip) prayed this key scripture out for the Invocation. Their invocation is the basis of this entire Day of Prayer & Repentance September 26^th.  As Americans and with our belief in God we need to get us all thinking about our Nation, and everything going on these days. This can, and hopefully will, change history if we participate. 2 Chronicles 7:14 is the Biblical basis that God set for us to change our personal and national path in history and relationship with Him.  ^“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”  NIV

 

Please take five minutes to listen to Jonathan’s entire message and get involved this September. Let’s get together, obey the Lord and change America and our lives together!

 

Meanwhile, Jonathan Cahn’s book “The Harbinger” published in 2011 which comes in book, audiobook, and Kindle is a key after 9-11 and a great read to help understand not only the leading up to 911 but also what is taking place today.  I highly recommend it. 

 

Interestingly, it is written in a Jesus -like fashion using stories pointing to fact like Jesus did to get His point across and intrigues us to where we can’t put it down!   Then, on September 1^st the Harbinger 2 –“The Return” comes out which shows how all these things happening in the USA today play into God’s warning to America.  Believe me when I say it will rock your boat!

 

Now, let me share a bit about why I feel this is so important.  First, I personally have believed that God created and has blessed America with the honor of being His nation of people that will bless the world of nations just like Abraham and Israel was to called do with the world from the beginning of human history.  That is why I have taken note how America seems to parallel Israel’s path throughout its’ history.  That’s exactly why this concerns me so much when you consider the Old Testament Prophets and what they say to Israel on Gods behalf.   We seem to be in that same path today as turning our back on Him and the happenings of the day match Gods’ warnings to Israel by Jeremiah, Isaiah, and the others.

 

We as a Nation need to do exactly what 2 Chronicles 7:14 says and listen to Him, take this to heart, repent, or in other words change our ways that take us into sin and displease Him, pray and obey Him.  Then He can heal our land and bring us back into fruitfulness and joy

 

Over and over in the Old Testament God had mercy and extended the time for Israel (and even other nations – see*1) to turn back to His ways, but finally He let them be taken captive.  Let us pray we do not follow suit today!  Personally, I get astounded how government leaders, the media, and people think the destruction of our cities, defunding our law enforcement, and the rise of Marxist groups that desire to destroy our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Capitalist economic system.  Marxism? Communism? Hey, Ive been in those countries and seen the devastation they live under.  My gosh, why don’t people ask the refugees here in America from Russia, China, Venezuela, North Korea, and others about their life back there?

 

*1: One example is Nineveh.  God sent Jonah to go prophesy its’ destruction and he refused, (you know the story) Finally Jonah did and they repented, and God delayed its complete obliteration for 150 years into 612 BC. By then the generations had turned away.  The Old Testament is full of these same kind of factual actions by God.

 

Another fact is that while God uses evil nations & people to carry out His discipline on nations and people, they are NOT off the hook and their evil done to His people is repaid far more extensively on them.  The Old Testament discipline to the Babylonian, Medes & Persian, Greek, & Roman empires are clear testimonies to that.  It was far more devastating than the captivity the Israelites faced.

 

Everyone says how can a righteous & Holy God use wicked nations against His own people, rebellious & sinful as they may be?  How can He let them prevail and succeed?  God’s answer to His Prophet Habakkuk is that evil, wherever it is found, always bears the seeds of its own destruction.  The particular agency that God uses is of no consequence.  Only in righteousness is there life; sin ALWAYS brings death.  You can read Habakkuk for the whole gripe, & questions about all this along with God’s answers to Habakkuk.

 

Extra Reading for you: Compare Jeremiah 25: 27-32 (see *2 below) to a parallel with the USA today!  

The only way ANYONE can please God is to “walk in His ways.” “The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, as He swore to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.”  Deuteronomy 28:9

 

To refuse to walk in God’s ways allows room for the perversion of all values God sets as the standard. As a result, we see this today in America because injustice is flourishing in every area of life and that’s the direct result of not walking in His ways.

Hopefully, you see and understand why I am so adamant about our need as a nation and individual persons to realize what is happening in America.  God is trying to shake us awake as He did Israel and we are not yet realizing this fact.  Let’s each plan to be part of “The Return Day of Repentance & Prayer September 26^th and turn our judgement around. And remember. To walk in His ways means honesty and justice are clearly seen not only in our words but in our deeds as well. Let’s also show it in our 2 races today & tomorrow too!
